What can I expect during treatment?

After the numbing cream is removed, the probe will be stamped onto the skin to be treated. The probe has 24 small needles that will penetrate the skin and then release heat. The stamping motion continues until treatment is completed. Application of the numbing cream will make this treatment very tolerable. If there is any pain, Dr. Nainar will administer nerve blocks to increase anesthesia. The skin will be red and hot after the treatment. As healing occurs, skin will feel itchy and will flake off.
